NYX LIP LINGERIE LIQUID LIPSTICKS REVIEW

I have been dying to try NYX's lip lingerie range for a while now, NYX offer some beautiful darker shades in their Lip Lingerie range- so instead of ordering all the shades, which include some lighter pink, some reds and darker pinks, which I wouldn't use as much (due to having so many lipsticks already similar to these), I chose two shades that I have nothing similar to. A beautiful purply grey brown called Honeymoon and a really pretty dark brown called Teddy. I had to order these products online from Boots as every time I went in store they had sold out- so I would suggest ordering them into store to save yourself disappointment.

(LEFT- Teddy, RIGHT-Honeymoon)

Both colours stand out beautifully and looks great with almost any eye make up look. Application is simple - quite patchy but very easy to build up to a solid outcome. Like nearly every liquid lipstick, I wouldn't suggest layering the product as it becomes really dry and flaky (which is very normal for these types of products)- removing and reapplying is the best way to top up. The product lasts forever on the lips, after going out for dinner with Teddy on my lips- only the product on the inner sides of my lips had faded which I would easily clean up and sort out. The product dries quickly on the lips and leaves a beautiful matte finish- no tackiness or smudging. At only £6.50 each, these liquid lipsticks are well worth the money and personally I would happily pay more for such a good quality product.

TEDDY

I didn't own any dark brown lipsticks until I brought this- I saw it all over Instagram and it looked so pretty on others. But because I am quite pale, I was really worried about how it would look but it turned out really beautiful, I had to bronze up my face a bit more than usual to balance out the colours on my face- but the result was very pretty. The shade is a lovely dark brown that is so wearable. This shade is perfect dupe for Jeffree Star Liquid Lipstick in Dominatrix.

HONEYMOON

Honeymoon was the one I was unsure about when I first tried on because of how unique the colour was, but after wearing it out and about, I had received many compliments on how beautiful it was. Honeymoon is the perfect dupe for Stone from MAC- which I have since ordered and own. This kind of shade looks amazing with purple toned eye looks because of the purple undertone in the brown. With this shade its best to stay away from grey colours on the eyes as I found I ended up looking like a bit like a corpse with heavy grey/brown on the eyes and this shade on the lips alongside my pale skin.

I'm so tempted to pick a couple more colours from the range- maybe Beauty Mark (another beautiful dark brown but with warm undertones) or Push Up (a gorgeous warm pink shade)
