Recently I have tried to compare two foundations, Boots had some offers on the Loreal stand, I think it was two products for £10, which is a really good deal, considering most of their products come to £10 or just under or over. I already reviewed the Infallible Match foundation and powder foundation last year, I decided to give it another go by comparing it to another foundation. I have been using these foundations for about a month now to fairly review them, setting them both with a Collection 2000 Translucent powder, here are the results:
INFALLIBLE MATTE
(my shade is Vanilla- £7.99)
PACKAGING- I love the packaging of this foundation, the squeezy bottle makes it so easy to get every bit of the product out when you come near to the end of the bottle. It's easy to cut the bottle open and transfer into a pot to keep the product sterile. The bottle doesn't take up too much space in my make-up bag which is a big plus for me.
FORMULA- The formula is liquid to matte and it dries very quickly. I feel like I have to rush to evenly spread this out on my face before it starts to dry, because layering up this foundation leads to flakiness (not a good look!). I get quite frustrated with this formula because it dries way too quickly and many times I have had to wipe the foundation off and start again, very wasteful and very annoying. I can't fault the product's incredibly perfect colour match to my skin.
FINISH AND LASTING POWER- The finish is lovely, but doesn't stay lovely for long. After an hour or two it started to become patchy on my nose and cheeks. It looked as though I had rubbed it off but I hadn't. I feel quite embarrassed to be out in the open with this foundation on when it had this effect on my skin.

OVERALL- I have combination skin, I can see this foundation working for someone with oily skin but definitely not if you have dry skin! Honestly, when this foundation finishes I won't be purchasing it again.
TRUE MATCH
(my shade is Golden Vanilla-£9.99)
PACKAGING- The packaging is sleek but because it's a hard plastic bottle, it makes it hard to get the last remains of the product out near the end of the bottle. The pump can sometimes get jammed but that may be because I have a faulty top maybe? The bottle is quite clunky and takes up a fair amount in my make up bag which is quite annoying so I normally pack it separately.
FORMULA- I LOVE THIS FORMULA! It glides on the skin effortlessly, doesn't clog up on the skin and dries slowly. I usually leave this to set for a minute or two before applying concealer and powder etc. A little goes a long way with this product too, the formula stretches a long way and you don't need to use a lot for each time. The shade matches me perfectly.

OVERALL- This is officially my new "go to" foundation, it's reliable, has a beautiful finish and stays put all day long no matter what I'm doing. I would defiantly recommend this beautiful product. Loreal you saved yourself with this amazing foundation!
